Three indicted in July killing in New Market
Three people have been arrested after being indicted by a Madison County grand jury for their roles in the killing of a New Market area man last summer.
Marcus Elliott Minnis, 24, Charles Theodore Olson, 21, and Michelle Lynn Ikard, 41, were arrested Friday, according to Madison County Sheriff’s spokesman Chad Brooks.

Cops: Woman’s kidnapping claim likely bogus
A woman who claimed to have been kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend and held against her will for a week in a Huntsville hotel has made apparently made a false claim, Huntsville police said Wednesday.

Police have released the identity of a Morgan County woman who died in a two-vehicle crash late Monday.
Madison Police Lt. John Stringer said Nataliya Elliott, 41, of Lacey’s Spring was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Madison Boulevard at Hughes Road.

A man is in custody and has been charged in connection with several burglaries in south Huntsville, police said Tuesday.
