Man charged after shooting incident leaves three injured

(From release) Huntsville police are investigating a shooting Sunday that left three people with minor injuries.

Officers responded to the 3100 block of Joppa Circle shortly after 10:00 p.m. for reports of a large disturbance and shots fired.  When they arrived they found three people, ages 16, 19, and 20, with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the legs.

Officers recovered two guns from a car as well as marijuana and prescription narcotics.  One of the guns had the serial number altered.

Officers charged Alezay Mitchell, 18, with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, altering a firearm identification, and carrying a pistol in a vehicle without a license.
