(From release) Huntsville police have charged a third person in connection with a 2015 murder, the department announced Thursday morning.
Lakesha Dyer, 23, of Huntsville was charged with the May 2015 shooting death of Jerry Caudle.
On May 19, 2015, officers responded to a call of gunshots in the 2800 block of Holmes Avenue. When they arrived they found Caudle lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to Huntsville Hospital where he later died from his injuries. Shaquille Hyter, 20, was taken into custody on December 3, and Jimmy Leslie, 20, was taken into custody on December 9. Both are from Huntsville.
Dyer was arrested and charged on Wednesday. She is being held in the Madison County Jail.
The investigation continues and additional arrests could be made.
