An incumbent and a newcomer will lead Madison County's largest cities after easily winning their respective races Tuesday night.
Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle trounced competitors Loretta Spencer and Jackie Reed to earn a second term while Troy Trulock crushed challenger Don Palmer.
With 94% of votes counted Battle had 22,833 or 80.7% while Spencer, a former three-term mayor of Huntsville, had 4,312 or 15.2%.
Reed received 1,157 votes or 4.1%.

In the race for mayor of Madison, Trulock garnered 5,383 votes or 86% to Palmer's 1,430 votes or 14%.
Current Mayor Paul Findley was not seeking re-election.
In other results Huntsville voters overwhelmingly approved the continuation of the special ad valorem tax.
The measure passed by a vote of 18,220 to 8,250.
