Huntsville police think they have identified the victim of a recent shooting and continue to ask the public for help in solving the case.
Juan Carlos Arias-Ramirez was found shot to death in a car on Aug. 6.
Police said he had been involved in an altercation over a woman at the Labomba club in Huntsville.
Arias-Ramirez left the club but was followed by a group of men who opened fire on him.
No arrests have been made in the case.
Spokesman Harry Hobbs said police had attempted to contact relatives in Alabama, New Mexico, and Mexico in recent days but with no results.
Everyone they have found would only say they were friends with the victim and police are not yet certain of his exact name, according to Hobbs.
Hobbs said police have located a woman who claims to be Arias-Ramirez' girlfriend and who says she has a child by him.
The woman is in the process of claiming his body, Hobbs said.
Anyone having any information about the killing is urged to call police at 256-722-7100.
