Police are investigating the rape of a woman early Thursday in south Huntsville.
In a release police said the 42-year old victim went onto the back porch of her home in the 200 block of Marinawood Drive around 4 a.m. to smoke.
She said a white male with a pair of pantyhose over his head struck her in the face and then assaulted her.
No arrests were reported and no other details were released.
