Police have charged a 22-year old man with statutory rape after he had sex with a 14-year old girl Sunday.
Huntsville police spokesman Sgt. Mark Roberts confirmed that Matthew Undre Kennemore was charged with second-degree rape Sunday morning.
A release Monday morning said Kennemore met the victim through an "accidental" phone call. Roberts said the girl made the call.
The release said the victim agreed to meet Kennemore at a local park.
After meeting Kennemore the girl got into his car and they went to his home in the north Huntsville area.
After they arrived the two had sex and Kennemore was arrested shortly thereafter.
No bond or address information was listed for Kennemore.
