The Owens Crossroads School was evacuated early Thursday afternoon after a foul odor was detected. The incident was reported just after 2 p.m., according to a release.
Teachers and students were moved to the nearby Owens Crossroads Church of Christ. No injuries were reported and the source of the odor was not immediately known.
Utility workers and firefighters checked the building and reportedly found nothing threatening, the release said. All after school activities were canceled for the day.
Classes are set to resume Friday morning.
