Man charged after pursuit in Madison

(From release) On September 3, 2010 at approximately 9:42 AM the Madison City Police Department received a telephone call from a concerned citizen that an individual appeared to be unconscious in a vehicle parked near Shorter Street in Madison, AL.
Madison City Police and Fire were dispatched and medics arrived on the scene to help first. As a fire fighter attempted to open the door of the vehicle to help, the subject, the driver awakened and fled at a high rate of speed endangering the first responders.
A Madison City Police Officer pursued the subject to Wall-Triana and then to County Line Road; south of Madison Boulevard.
The subject, a thirty-eight year old Jeremy Dale Davis, was arrested at that location without further incident. Mr. Davis listed addresses in Huntsville and Madison.
He has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, attempting to elude, and reckless endangerment. His bond has been set at sixteen thousand dollars.
