(From release) On July 22 a Madison resident reported that jewelry had been stolen from her home. The resident was able to locate her jewelry at Mr. Gold located at 1591 Hughes Rd. in Madison. Follow up investigation lead to evidence identifying the person who sold the jewelry as Matthew Anderson. On Tuesday Anderson, 19, was arrested by the Madison Police Department and charged with Theft of Property and Receiving Stolen Property. He was transported to the Madison County Jail where he was held on a $5000.00 bond.
On Monday officers from the Madison Police Department responded to a report of a burglary at Carrington Cove Apartments. Responding officers located the suspects and their vehicle while responding to the call. The vehicle fled the scene but was stopped by a responding officer. Three subjects fled from the vehicle on foot. The remaining occupants of the vehicle, Shannon Nicole Neal, 19, and Brittany Page Garner, 18, were arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property. They were transported to the Madison County Jail where they were held on $2500.00 bond. Further investigation lead to the identity of the three subjects who had fled the scene on foot. Two of the subjects were identified as juveniles. They were subsequently arrested and charged with Burglary and Theft of Property. They were transported to the Neaves Davis Center.
