The Redstone Arsenal Fire Station #1 will be named in honor of a Marshall Space Flight Center engineer who died in a crash on the base in May.
According to a release, Darren Spurlock, 39, was killed when his car was hit by a vehicle that was fleeing from Huntsville police on May 30.
Firefighters from Station 1 were the first to respond to the crash scene.
The dedication ceremony will be at 10 a.m. at Station 1, located near the intersection of Martin Road and Rideout Road.
Speakers will include Redstone Commanding General James Myles, Marshall Director Dave King, and Spurlock's wife Kelly Spurlock.
